Herbicides effects on symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria

چکیده
Rhizobia are an important component of sustainable agricultural production. In symbiosis with legumes, they provide adequate amounts nitrogen for their growth and leave in the soil crops that follow rotation. One major threats to symbiotic fixation herbicides. The effect herbicides on can be positive or negative. is manifested stimulation development rhizobia. When negatively affected, efficiency reduced, resulting lower legume yield. Herbicides contact rhizobia immediately after application or, case persistent herbicides, later growing season. may affect rhizobia, host plant, establishment symbiosis. This paper reviews previous research effects

Corals form characteristic associations with symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria.
The complex symbiotic relationship between corals and their dinoflagellate partner Symbiodinium is believed to be sustained through close associations with mutualistic bacterial communities, though little is known about coral associations with bacterial groups able to fix nitrogen (diazotrophs). In this study, we investigated the diversity of diazotrophic bacterial communities associated with t...

The occurrence of aerobic, non-symbiotic, nitroqen-fixing bacteria was determined in samples of soil collecte~l in the various soil zones of Allxrm and Saslcatchewan. Mannitol and sodiuttl betuoate dust-platrs. and mallnit01 solution cultures wiLh subsequent inoculation onto rnannitol agar demonstrated that Asolohnrtt-r were not wirlcspreatl in the Canadian prairie province soils. These r)n)ccr...
متن کاملGenomes of the symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria of legumes.
Over the last several decades, there have been a large number of studies done on the genetics, biochemistry, physiology, ecology, and agronomics of the bacteria forming nitrogen-fixing symbioses with legumes. These bacteria, collectively referred to as the rhizobia, are taxonomically and physiologically diverse members of the a and b subclasses of the Proteobacteria, and mostly comprise members...

متن کاملFerredoxins from Nitrogen-Fixing Bacteria
Two ferredoxins have been purified from N2-fixing Mycobacterium flavum. Ferredoxin I had a minimum molecular weight (by amino acid analysis) of 11 230 and contained 7.4 mol Fe and 7.0 mol S2per mol. The ratio of the absorbance at 400 nm to that at 275 nm was 0.7. Ferredoxin I1 had a minimum molecular weight of 13478 and contained 3.4 mol Fe and 3.2 mol S2per mol. The ratio of the absorbance at ...
